Pet Policy
Dog Friendly
Up to two well-behaved dogs are welcome at Waning Moon Ranch. The property is fully fenced — 2.5 acres of desert for them to roam. A $100 pet cleaning fee applies (100% goes to our cleaning team). Please let us know in advance.
- Max 2 dogs · $100 cleaning fee per stay
- Must be leashed outside the fence line
- No pets on furniture or beds
- Waste must be picked up immediately and placed in the garbage bin — failure to do so results in a $100 landscaping fee
- Dog owners are responsible for any property damage, personal injury, or interactions with wildlife (coyotes) or plants (cacti)
- If your dog has a history of chewing or scratching doors/furniture, please bring a crate

General
- Check-in: 3:00 PM · Check-out: 11:00 AM
- Max 6 registered guests
- No smoking indoors
- Quiet hours after 9:00 PM
- No parties, events, or large gatherings — only registered guests are permitted on the property unless prior approval is given. Violations may result in additional fees or cancellation.
- Guests use the property, pool, spa, and all amenities at their own risk. The host is not responsible for accidents, injuries, or loss of personal belongings. Children and pets must be supervised at all times.
Pool & Spa
- Pool is for registered guests only — swim at your own risk. No lifeguard or staff supervision is provided.
- Children and pets must be supervised at all times near or in the pool. Door alarms must be activated when children are present.
- No glass or ceramic items in or near the pool area. Shatter-proof dishes and cups are provided for poolside use. ⚠️ A $2,000 fee applies if glass or ceramic is found in or near the pool.
- Pool is saltwater and professionally maintained. Spa heating is included. Pool heating is included May–September. Pool heating October–April is available for an additional $250/night depending on overnight temperatures — we cannot guarantee the pool will reach or maintain the requested temperature in very cold weather.
- Pool max temp: 85°F · Spa max temp: 103°F. Damage from improper settings is the guest's responsibility. Exceeding max temps may result in an additional propane fee.
- There is a single heater for the pool and spa. When the spa is heating, it redirects heat from the pool. The pool retains heat well — let us know if you'd like it heated before arrival.
Outdoor & Fire
- Fire pit use is at your own risk and must comply with local fire regulations. Wood is not provided — please bring your own firewood. Never leave the fire unattended. Children and pets must be supervised at all times.
- Desert sky & light pollution: To preserve the incredible night sky, please turn off all exterior lights when not in use. Outdoor solar lanterns have a red light mode — please use it after dark. Thank you for keeping the desert skies dark and beautiful.
Safety & Technology
- Noise monitoring device: The property uses a privacy-safe noise monitor. It does not record conversations — it only measures overall noise levels to ensure a comfortable environment for guests and neighbors.
- Exterior security cameras are located at the side gates and front door only. They do not face any private or interior spaces and operate during all stays to monitor access points.
- EV charger (Tesla/Level 2): Guests use the EV charger at their own risk. The host is not responsible for damage to vehicles or electrical systems from improper use.
- Wi-Fi (Starlink) and electricity may occasionally be interrupted due to high desert conditions or maintenance. The host is not responsible for disruptions to work, streaming, or other activities.
